Meet the Vivalon Executive Team

Kaushik Roy, Chief Executive Officer

Kaushik Roy is the CEO of Vivalon, the largest senior services nonprofit in Marin County, California. He joined the organization in March 2025, bringing nearly two decades of nonprofit leadership experience. A respected Bay Area nonprofit and civic leader, he previously led one of San Francisco’s pioneering caregiving organizations, Shanti Project, for 15 years. During his tenure, Shanti grew in size by over 450%.

Kaushik served as board president of the San Francisco Interfaith Council for four years and was appointed by Mayor Ed Lee to the City and County of San Francisco’s Aging and Adult Services Commission, where he oversaw budgeting and policy recommendations for the $350M agency. He has also been appointed to numerous civic bodies by the City and County’s Board of Supervisors and Department of Public Health. These include the Palliative Care Taskforce and the Aging LGBTQ+ Policy Task Force.

Kaushik’s other appointments include the Presidio Trust, where he helped develop innovative strategies to increase the presence of historically underrepresented communities in national parks, and serving as an Executive Officer of San Francisco’s HIV/AIDS Providers Network. He enjoys volunteering for local, grassroots nonprofits. He currently serves on the board of directors of Ruthless Kindness, which supports survivors of domestic violence and victims of animal abuse. Additionally, he is an advisor to the Petaluma Health District, Amor Para Todos, and Compass Parents.

Kaushik holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a graduate of the Metta Institute’s End-of-Life Care Practitioner Program and the Bay Area’s Leaderspring Executive Director Fellowship Program. He resides in Petaluma, California, with his very patient wife, thoughtful and spirited pre-teen, two rambunctious dogs, and sweet but perpetually annoyed cat.

Ashley Baker, Chief People Officer

Ashley joined Vivalon in October, 2013, as our HR Manager and Director, before her promotion to Chief People Officer. Prior to joining Vivalon, Ashley worked at national outdoor gear and clothing retailer REI in their Human Resources department for 18 years. Vivalon’s HR services made great strides under Ashley’s guidance, including managing a 93% increase in the number of Vivalon employees in three years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Portrit of Stephanie McNally

Stephanie McNally, Chief Program Officer

Stephanie joined Vivalon in December of 2021 as Director of Healthy Aging Programs, bringing a strong background in operations, partnership engagement, and work in the nonprofit sector. Now in the role of Chief Programs Officer, Stephanie is responsible for the development, strategic planning and growth of programs and services that support the health and well-being of Marin County’s older adult community, including in-home services, educational programs, lifelong learning, falls prevention, technology and more. Prior to Vivalon, Stephanie held several roles at Canal Alliance, most recently as Director of Advocacy and Policy. Leading up to her nonprofit career, she worked in software and management consulting as well as serving as an independent non-profit consultant. Stephanie has a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

Erick Villalobos, Chief Transportation, Facilities, and Safety Officer

Erick joined Vivalon in October of 2019 as General Manager of Transportation Services. Now serving as Chief Transportation Officer, Erick is responsible for the leadership, management and growth of Vivalon’s Transportation Services Department. Erick manages Vivalon’s operating contracts and partnerships with numerous transportation agencies and organizations in Marin, Sonoma, San Francisco, and Stanislaus counties, and fosters the growth of Vivalon’s Transportation Services department to align with Vivalon’s mission of improving the lives of older adults and people living with disabilities. Prior to Vivalon, Erick held several positions at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) for over 30 years. At UCSF he served as Director of UCSF Transportation Services, Associate Director of UCSF Transportation Services and Security Manager of UCSF Police Department. Erick has Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Political Science from Notre Dame de Namur University, and a Master of Business Administration from the School of Business and Management at Notre Dame de Namur University.

Brad Kinnish, Chief Financial Officer

Brad joined Vivalon in June of 2024, bringing an impressive background in finance and accounting that spans over 25 years. As chief financial officer, Brad is responsible for Vivalon’s financial management, forecasting, reporting, and risk management. Prior to Vivalon, Brad held CFO roles within the technology sector for companies including Marin Software and Aryaka Networks. Prior to becoming a CFO, Brad held investment banking roles for firms including Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and Thomas Weisel Partners. Brad began his career as an accountant at Ernst & Young while earning his CPA license (inactive). Brad holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Accounting from the University of Washington.

Amy Carlson McConnell, Chief Development Officer

Amy, an accomplished non-profit professional and a former civil and criminal justice attorney, joined Vivalon in December of 2024. As chief development officer, Amy is responsible for leading Vivalon’s development department, including donor cultivation and acquisition. Prior to Vivalon, Amy was chief development officer at Huckleberry Youth Programs, where she led all fundraising and revenue-generating efforts, including government grants and contracts, foundation and corporate giving, individual giving, marketing and communications, events, and volunteerism. In addition, Amy served as advancement specialist at Huckleberry Youth Programs and as a board member for the organization. She has also held several volunteer fundraising roles at Mark Day School, Pacific Primary, and The Branson School. Amy holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Colgate University.
