Two Workshops on Thursdays (March 16 and March 23) 

Empower yourself with knowledge and preparation! Attend one or both Empowered Elder Workshops at Vivalon, presented by the California Alliance for Retired Americans. Registration required, see information below. 

Workshop 1: The Lifesaving “Vial of Life” and Your Rights in a Hospital 

Thursday | March 16 | 9:30am-11:00am

This workshop will cover both the “Vial of Life” packet and your rights while in the hospital. You will receive a Vial of Life packet that includes a form where you can enter important healthcare information in case of an emergency. You will also learn about your rights in a hospital, especially about your right to a safe discharge and what you can do to appeal a discharge if you are not ready to go home. 

Workshop 2: Completing Your Advance Healthcare Directive
