Meet the Vivalon Executive Team
Joe O'Hehir, Interim CEO
Joe O’Hehir reassumed the role of Interim CEO at Vivalon on April 1, 2024, overseeing strategic direction and management, and reporting to the board of directors. He previously retired in March 2021 after serving as the CEO of Vivalon (formerly known as Whistlestop), a position he held for 13 years. O’Hehir’s vision for an innovative model of community care for the elderly was realized with the opening of Vivalon’s new Healthy Aging Campus in January 2024.
For the past 42 years, O’Hehir has been providing executive leadership to healthcare and community-based nonprofit organizations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and the country. His work history includes being part of the founding senior management team for seven start-up organizations. O’Hehir was identified as one of the leading health care entrepreneurs by California Medicine Magazine in its 1998 “Who’s Who” list. In 2006, he received the Center for Nonprofit Leadership’s prestigious “Heart of Marin” award for excellence in board leadership.
O’Hehir served on the Steering Committee for Marin County’s Aging Action Initiative (AAI) strategic collaboration, an organization he helped to start in 2013. He also served as an appointed Governing Board member for the Public Authority of Marin’s In-home Supportive Services agency for 16 years. O’Hehir currently serves as a board member for the San Rafael Public Library Foundation, Eden Housing, First Tee North Coast, and was appointed and served on the 2022-23 Marin County Civil Grand Jury.
Ashley Baker, Chief People Officer
Ashley joined Vivalon in October, 2013, as our HR Manager and Director, before her promotion to Chief People Officer. Prior to joining Vivalon, Ashley worked at national outdoor gear and clothing retailer REI in their Human Resources department for 18 years. Vivalon’s HR services made great strides under Ashley’s guidance, including managing a 93% increase in the number of Vivalon employees in three years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Stephanie McNally, Chief Programs Officer
Stephanie joined Vivalon in December of 2021 as Director of Healthy Aging Programs, bringing a strong background in operations, partnership engagement, and work in the nonprofit sector. Now in the role of Chief Programs Officer, Stephanie is responsible for the development, strategic planning and growth of programs and services that support the health and well-being of Marin County’s older adult community, including in-home services, educational programs, lifelong learning, falls prevention, technology and more. Prior to Vivalon, Stephanie held several roles at Canal Alliance, most recently as Director of Advocacy and Policy. Leading up to her nonprofit career, she worked in software and management consulting as well as serving as an independent non-profit consultant. Stephanie has a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

Erick Villalobos, Chief Transportation, Facilities, and Safety Officer
Erick joined Vivalon in October of 2019 as General Manager of Transportation Services. Now serving as Chief Transportation Officer, Erick is responsible for the leadership, management and growth of Vivalon’s Transportation Services Department. Erick manages Vivalon’s operating contracts and partnerships with numerous transportation agencies and organizations in Marin, Sonoma, San Francisco, and Stanislaus counties, and fosters the growth of Vivalon’s Transportation Services department to align with Vivalon’s mission of improving the lives of older adults and people living with disabilities. Prior to Vivalon, Erick held several positions at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) for over 30 years. At UCSF he served as Director of UCSF Transportation Services, Associate Director of UCSF Transportation Services and Security Manager of UCSF Police Department. Erick has Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and Political Science from Notre Dame de Namur University, and a Master of Business Administration from the School of Business and Management at Notre Dame de Namur University.
