Our Philosophy
Everyone is a learner—no matter their age, abilities, or past experience with technology. Instead of one teacher delivering the same lesson to everyone, we create space for participants to learn with and from each other.
Why does this matter? Because we might have the same goals but absorb and use information differently. Vision, hearing, dexterity, and confidence vary widely, but none of that should determine who “counts” as a real learner.
A Learning-Community Model
Our approach is designed to honor differences in learning styles. To achieve this we offer two-part mini-courses plus an optional, hands-on clinic staffed with:
2 instructors for group guidance
Tech volunteer for one-to-one support.
How Mini-Courses Work
Classes run for two hours, with a simple, predictable flow:
30 minutes for group connection and sharing what people already know
30 minutes of guided instruction
Short break
30 minutes of Q&A
30 minutes of real-world practice
Our Three-Step Sequence
Every topic follows a clear, confidence-building path:
Get Comfortable
Introduction to the topic in an accessible way
Get Confident
Practice and reinforce skills
Use It
Apply learning in a hands-on clinic setting
