Vivalon’s Brown Bag Pantry offers free, healthy, fresh produce, meats and staple food items provided from the SF-Marin Food Bank for Marin residents age 60 and older.

Where You Can Park
On-street meters, off-street lots (metered & un-metered), A Street & C Street garages.
We ask that Vivalon visitors do not park in neighboring business lots, which are reserved for their customers.
Please do not park in the Minuteman Press parking lot located at 1003 3rd Street, San Rafael.
Unauthorized vehicles may be subject to towing.
Frequently asked questions:
Marin residents age 60 and older who consider themselves in need of food are eligible. When you sign up at our pantry, we ask for your name, address and the number of people in your household.
As of December 1, 2025, our pantry has reached capacity. New participants will be placed on a waitlist. To be added to the waitlist, please call 415-456-9062 ext. 119. We will continue to monitor availability and will contact individuals on the waitlist as soon as space becomes available.

Where You Can Park
- On-street meters: $1.50 per hour
- Off-street lots (metered & un-metered): $0.75 per hour
- A Street & C Street garages: $1.00 per hour ($10 maximum)
On-street meters and lots are enforced from Mon-Sat, 8 am – 6 pm (with the Walgreens lot extending to 8 pm).
City garages (A & C streets) are enforced Mon-Fri, 6 am – 11 pm
Parking on weekends is free!

We provide a farmer’s market–style pantry where participants can select from a variety of fresh produce, protein items, and pantry staples. Please remember to bring your own bag.
Parking is not available at 999 3rd Street, but multiple city parking lots are located within walking distance.
Vivalon’s Brown Bag Pantry takes place every Friday at our Healthy Aging Campus (999 Third Street in San Rafael). Distribution is from 10:45 AM to 11:35 AM. Tickets are handed out starting at 10:00 AM, and no tickets will be issued after 11:35 AM.
The pantry is free, if you meet minimum income requirements.
Participants receive a variety of free, healthy produce, proteins and staple food items.
