Volunteer Spotlight – Wendy Black
Meet Wendy, a dedicated volunteer who joined the Vivalon team in January 2024, where she warmly welcomes clients to the Brown Bag Pantry. With a passion for connecting with people, Wendy quickly became familiar with many clients by name, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
After selling her laundromat business in Sausalito at the end of 2023, Wendy was eager to incorporate volunteer work into her schedule. In addition to her role at Vivalon, she generously gives her time to the Hodgepodge Thrift Store in San Rafael and to the YMCA.
When she’s not brightening the days of those she serves, Wendy finds joy in her marriage and her hobbies, which include reading, cooking, and hiking in the beautiful landscapes of West Marin.
