Volunteer Milestone – Shelly Sharp
Vivalon would like to highlight Shelly Sharp for her milestone of providing over 1,000 rides with CarePool. What do you enjoy most about volunteering/working at Vivalon?
Meeting and getting to know our lovely and interesting clients.
Who is your hero?
I have many but the universal trait among them is that they work to make the world a better place – in small or large ways.
What did you do prior to volunteering/working at Vivalon?
I worked for 35 years at PG&E.
What’s your favorite movie as a child?
Fantasia!
What is your favorite family vacation?
Exploring new cities with rich histories and great food.
What would you change about yourself if you could?
I would procrastinate less!
What makes you unique?
Hmmm… not sure.
What are some random fun facts about you?
I am an identical twin. I am also a 5th generation Californian.
What’s something you want to learn or wish you were better at?
Swimming! As crazy as it is, and not for lack of lessons and effort, I have never learned to swim!

My children who have the courage to follow their own passions.
