Sashay Through History with Kylie Minono
Join local drag queen Kylie Minono and sashay through the bedazzled histories of lesser-known LGBTQ+ pioneers whose resilience, activism, and creativity shaped the world we live in today.
The afternoon begins with a screening of Screaming Queens, the award-winning film by Susan Stryker and Victor Silverman documenting the 1966 Compton’s Cafeteria Riot—three years before Stonewall. After the film, Kylie Minono will lead a lively presentation and open discussion celebrating hidden histories and personal stories.
