A Season Reimagined
Spring is often associated with renewal and growth—but in Magritte’s Spring, the familiar takes on a more curious form.
This month, we’ll explore how a simple scene can hold something unexpected, inviting us to look a little closer and consider what might be hidden beneath the surface. Magritte’s work gently shifts perspective, turning everyday imagery into something quietly intriguing.
The afternoon is paired with Songs of Spring, a live musical performance by artists from Bread & Roses, adding another layer of warmth and reflection to the experience.

About the Artist
René Magritte was a Belgian surrealist known for transforming ordinary scenes into thought-provoking visual puzzles. His work often challenges the relationship between what we see and what we understand, using simple imagery to explore complex ideas.
By placing familiar objects in unexpected contexts, Magritte invites viewers to question assumptions and look beyond the surface.
